This is hands down a classic movie. Ignore opinions of snowflakes who never been in cartel country - this is a photo of reality that is happening right now and photo as brilliant as it is scary. Amazing cast, solid acting, very good music score and proper plot. It is not a detective or action movie - it is truth.

A few good action scenes and halfway good acting. Otherwise it's a depressingly bad movie. Somehow they managed to make Emily Blunt *not* sexy. Her character is that of a competent FBI agent turned into a misused, abused and out-of-her-depth dupe of the CIA. Brolin and Del Toro do fairly well, but even they and Emily cannot rescue this dry, lifeless plot.
And at the end of the flick there is violence against children. Had I known this I would never have bought it to begin with.

Storyline is pretty weak. I thought you could go much more in depth with the problems with the cartel. But this is a shooting movie.
