A wonderful throughback to 70's films

Bad Times at the El Royale has a lot of style and it takes place during the vitenam war so your dealing with Racism, sexism and other worthy culture in the vitenam war. Either way this movie captures the magic of Quentin Tarantino's films and some of his films are well made and have good characters. That's what this movie is.

I’m really not sure how to rate this movie. I watched it from beginning to end. Saying that it dragged isn’t entirely accurate. The movie intrigued me and kept my interest.
There were humorous moments and teeth clenching “what the hell just happened” moments. Hemsworth plays a really good creepy cult leader type character and was actually quite repulsive, even with the six-pack abs. Overall, I’m glad I watched the movie because I was entertained but it is probably just a one-time watch for me.

This Tarintino-esque character study is under-rated and under-appreciated. With an unusual narrative and talented cast I had to watch it again. The movie seems slow at some parts but the end makes up for it.

With a really good cast this movie should have been phenomenal. Unfortunately it was a disappointment. Jeff Bridges was fantastic as usual but the rest were wooden and dull. I don’t think the brunt of the blame belongs to the actors but to the director. The story was all over the place and it never answered any of the lingering questions. So sad. This film had such promise.
