I loved this film and it hit close to home (literally) I grew up in the Bay Area and Santa Cruz was our beach spot. Many memories so this movie is a comfort film. What I love about it is how the characters in the story meet their alter egos. We all have a dark side. All humans are changeable and capable of multi-personalities. Essentially, these “alter egos” manifest in physical reality. That’s a terrifying thought. But so simple simultaneously. The symbolism is deep and thought provoking. I definitely recommend. Don’t get too caught up on the details of the movie and look at the bigger picture.

Very odd movie. Not scary at all and I didn’t like it much. May be the unpopular opinion to some but I feel like it has a good review because it’s produced by a black director with black cast.

The acting was good except for Winston Duke. He was terrible and he brought down every scene that he was in. This movie had so much potential. So sad I was really looking forward to this. #dontwatch

I know this isn’t said a lot but this movie was better than get out. Just the suspense and the build up made it so good. The twist is a cherry on top to this movie.

Y y’all so hardcore h8in’ on this?! Underr8ed imho. I absolutely loved this! I didn’t xpect 2 like it so much bcuz Get Out was genius & this 1 was getting a lotta negative feedback. It’s not 4 every1, that’s 4 sure. Ya gotta pay attention, there’s a lot going on. It wasn’t a bunch of subplots as 1 reviewer said, there’s 1 plot but it’s layered. It’s about the haves & have nots & this 1 really goes down the rabbit hole with that theme. The entire film is horror, comedy, drama, with a little per4mance art thrown in. Wicked creepy & mind blowing. The comedy is sprinkled & not your typical 1 liner type that Hollywood shoves @ us. Awesome awesome “little” film.
