It have watched hundreds of movies and this one is the worst ever. I m a big Dev Patel fan but even his acting cannot salvage it… I cannot believe the tomatometer… 89% … unbelievable … thank God for the other 1 star ratings ….

Like an onion this film has layers. On the outside it can seem incoherent. The film doesn’t try to explain everything to you. It respects your intelligence. It wants you to see and figure it out yourself. It follows the tale of Sir Gwain who sets out on his first knightly quest. It’s an Arthurian tale through and through. This is not an action move. It’s a movie about Chivalry, which is another layer of the onion. We see how Gwain fails time and time again. I’m the end, will he finally embodie the sport of a knight or will he miss the point entirely. I wouldn’t be hesitate to say this movie has landed a place in my Top 10 but I know a lot of people did not like it. I can’t fathom how but give it a chance and look at with an open mind and not what you THINK it’s going to be. This will be a yearly Christmas flick for me now.

This movie is incredible. It’s a trip.

Movie is weird with parts that don’t add or justify anything to the plot. Was hoping for something like LOTR. Don’t waste time watching it.

They took a short story and turned it into a 2+ hour movie with about 70% of it having nothing to do with the original story. A very large portion of the movie is just scenery. Dev Patel is no Daniel Day-Lewis or Christian Bale or Robert Deniro. He is unable to tell a story from his facial expressions alone, but this movie relies on that so much.

That was one of the most painful movies I've ever watched. What a bunch of crap. Don't spend a lot to watch this, it is that bad. Save your time, time is precious, don't waste it on this

I don’t know what this is. I wasn’t able to finish it, I had to turn it off at about 40 minutes in. it’s pretty much an art movie. In addition, it’s really bad filmmaking.
