The Nun II was a great follow up to the first film. The only thing I would’ve changed was not using the best special effect at the start of the movie (The scene where Valak opened his eyes & the priest burst into flames.) It left a lot to be desired at the end of the movie. But other than that, I loved it.

Visuals are good- but its a lot of run this way, now the other way, run over here, run/hide, run again, pass out, run some more, hit your head, wake up and run. The "tension" and the story get lost and the scares dont have a lot of impact. I think there are a lot of missed opportunities here or concepts that just didnt execute in a way that really holds your attention. Its basic at best.

THE GOAT!! saw this in theatres with friends and boy, i’ll never forget about this one. The Nun 2 a huge upgrade to it’s predecessor and is possibly the best Conjuring film yet. i was never bored and always on the edge of my seat. the constant, sudden jump scares in this new entry will never get old. although i thought the plot was a little silly and all over the place, i was very impressed with this one and it’s definitely my #1 fav scary movie. highly recommend👍

Like this sequel’s predecessor, I still find it controversial to Catholics because of its title. But the only thing I’m glad about “The Nun II” is that it critically improved over “The Nun I” since “The Nun I” was given a bad critical reception roughly 5 years ago. However, I still didn’t bother watching “The Nun II” because it not only doesn’t meet my taste in scary movies, but also it’s not a scary movie I’d prefer to watch, I’m not Catholic, & even if I were Catholic, I’d consider it offensive for Catholics to watch. In short, I still hate “The Nun II”, but still glad it was a major critical improvement over “The Nun I”.
