This is one of those movies where you want it to be good and it seems like maybe it'll get there but then it just never really does. It tries to be all deep and meaningful but falls short. It's entertaining enough if there's nothing else on tv.

We enjoyed this movie so much that it cost us two never-to-be-forgotten trips to Italy! The scenery is amazing and the story line is delightful! Have watched this movie at least 4 times.....guess that tells it all!

I left NYC for Europe in a similar way in 2005. This movie so captures the mix of feelings - I can´t go back there, what am I doing?, nothing is like what I expect. I went through the adjustments and opened on a new world - not bad for 63.
Diane Lane is marvelous. Sandra Oh so funny. The smaller parts of Italians and Poles charmingly played. Give yourself a beautiful Tuscan vacation and rent this film.
