Mortal Kombat II

I liked this movie. Not a bad cast, good effects, definitely strong fits for Cage and Scorpion. Good fan service and all and all entertaining product. But this movie has two serious flaws - villains and incoherent storytelling. Shao Kahn is a punching bag, who essentially lost fights to everyone. All his relevant fighters are undead and useless. How did he even win previous 9 rounds of Mortal Combat?! Movie insists that he is strong and his world is menacing - but they are shown pathetic. Shao Kahn even has to protect his palace and most important relic in it himself with not a single guard around against 3 Earth Champions where he would have been killed if not for the amulet. Is it allowed by Elder Gods? I am not asking for a complex plot, but at least make a coherent tale. Why Cage and Jade change their minds? What actually is the Cage superpower? Why Shao Kahn has to be take seriously? Why he even needed an amulet if his necromancer can make lazer shooting eyes out if thin air? Why Raiden can be nearly killed in one move? All and all - I watched this movie once and will not watch again. Do not waste money - wait until its cheap to rent.
