Description

Only the most incredible parts of the story are true. Michael Douglas and Val Kilmer star in this tense, terrific and true adventure set in 1896 East Africa. There, two lions on man-eating rampage have shut down the construction of a railway. The beasts hunt together, showing no fear of man or fire.     I absolutely love this movie. I seen it in theaters when I was a kid, and I remember my mom covering up my eyes when one of the lions started shredding people up. She thought it was too gruesome. It’s a great movie if your into that whole jungle, journey, survival esk.

    This is a great movie with awesome landscape scenes, sadly diminished by a bad quality source. The movie it watchable, but there is a lot of image noise (not the normal movie grain kind) all over the picture, which is really visible in some scenes. Until the BluRay come out, this is the best we get of this marvelous classic.

    Rotten Tomatoes is completely and utterly WRONG. This is an Absolutely Thrilling adventure filled with the grandure and beauty of Africa! The most amazing thing about this movie is that its totally 100% true!!! In addition, the soundtrack is certainly one of Jerry Goldsmiths best. ATTENTION iTUNES: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GET THIS SOUNDTRACK!!!!!

    This movie was awesome!!! This is the first Val KIlmer movie I saw and I loved it!!! Tons of suspenseful and intense moments, "cliffhangers" and full to the brim of action sequences !!!This movie was the BOMB!!!!!!

    Michael and Val couldn't have portrayed this story any better, acting at its' finest. This movie is in my all time top 5. If you have not seen this flick, you should not deprive yourself from this ultimate escape. You will watch this movie more than once, I guarantee it.

    I watched this movie in my AP Euro class because it pertains to Afrikaaners and the European acquisition of Africa. The film constantly kept me on the edge of my seat; it's very exciting although not entirely historically accurate. Nonetheless, it is an amazing movie. A word to the wise, DO NOT watch this movie with people who like to talk during the movie. They will constantly talk over the amazing plot and scenes in the film!
