The movie is terrific; if you’re here you probably know that. Two stars are deducted for the remastering job that was done for 4k release. The movie has been heavily manipulated digitally to the point of distraction. The goal was obviously to make it look like a digitally shot movie rather than one shot on film, which is what it is. Throughout I kept gravitating to the actors’ faces. In medium to long shots, the software has wiped all detail from the faces as a result of creating a “clean” image, so the actors look like rubber dolls. In close ups (the movie has a lot of them), you can see the other effect of this manipulation: artificial sharpening that attempts to counteract the loss of detail by exaggerating every line and pore in the skin. It looks ridiculous. The previous master that was used for Blu-ray and streaming was also manipulated but not as egregiously as this. If you still have access to that, you’d be better off watching it instead. The typical viewer who sees this new one is probably going to say, “It looks great! It looks like it was made yesterday!” But if, like me, you saw Aliens in the theatre in 1986, this version is far, far from it.

The HD version I purchased is not reflecting the 4k version. Please fix this Apple!

This second film is Awesome. Some images with the Aliens in the movie are little different. But it is still the best. I feel so terrible for that little girl.

The best one of the series besides the very first one, Alien. Directed by the great Ridley Scott. So well done. Both of them.

What can you say, Alien was an all time classic, followed up by an even spookier Aliens. 35 years later I’m still afraid of walking in the dark sometimes!

I love watching this movie. I’m excited to watch this movie on my 85 inch tv. It’s one of the best sci fi movies I’ve ever seen.

And it’s only gonna get better once we get the 4K version. Thank you, James Cameron, for creating such an action sci-fi timeless masterpiece.

An absolute classic by James Cameron.

Amazing sequel that Sigourney’s character and the marines fought off these monstrous predators. I like all the weapons that fight off the extraterrestrials. It’s quite a ride.

The Space Marines in this Movie is off the chain. John Paxton gets the honors for pumping everybody up for this Movie in the 80’s and in the 90’s and beyond. I’m ready to get it on and you know it. The Best Sci-fi EVER. Let’s Go MARINES
