It wouldn't surprise that most folks who love westerns would not rate this as highly as other big ticket cowboys, e.g., Wayne, Eastwood, etc.
So if you like superman- lone ranger - type heroes, (without tongue and cheek, e.g., 2007 "3:10 to Yuma" which I love) this ain't for you.
On the other hand, if you want real issues and people, great dialogue; great acting. . . I'm betting this movie will outlast the other tin-star fluff .

This has a few really good lines in it; "Hey! Hombre! YOU have put a hole in ME!" (you got to say it with a sort of northern mexican accent) also; "Mister! You got alot a bark on you"...
Good western, one of the last good ones really. Great characters.
