The only one who doesn’t explode is the one who lite the fuse. The narration was annoying, All the deception is really unattractive. Not sure it was worth watching other than seeing what happens when a little corruption and law and order are out of the hand of God and in the hands of mere greedy men.

With most of the gang that made the outstanding Goodfellas, I thought Casino would be like a sequel in quality. Unfortunately, it is nowhere near the quality of Goodfellas. Scorsese’s directing is very average here, and Pileggi’s writing is bland. De Niro, so amazing in Goodfellas, looks like he just wants to get this movie over with and get paid. The highly overrated Sharon Stone is just grating, as she careens from scene to scene either whining or crying. Only Pesci is good here, and that’s largely because he just plays Joe Pesci. The dual-narration shifting between De Niro and Pesci is just annoying. Pick one! This is three long hours of your life you’ll never get back. I suggest just watching Goodfellas again, you’ll get far more entertainment out of your fifth watching of that movie than out of your first watching of Casino.

This movie is one of my favorites now making it on my top 5 list! Every minute of it, very entertaining. If you liked Scarface then you’ll for sure love this one.
