I went to the premier and met Keith Moon and Pete. I was totally hyped when this movie was released.
I saw this twice at The Ziefgeld. At the time, I did enjoy the film. The original LP is one of my favorite recordings of all time.
I find the film unwatchable today. It is over the top, and in parts, feels amatuerish. The music is good but none of the soundtrack surpasses the original

The story was changes
too much and the songs were too changed. It just stunk. Buy the 1969 album and don't ruin your thoughts of The Who with this junk.

Rent this movie first... Some people, such as myself, don't like musicals. This one is GREAT! Plus, let's face it, even though she's old enough to be my mother, Ann-Margaret was a SEXY BEAST in this film.
