This is the story of a man that loved a woman and a woman who didn’t really know she loved him unto to the end . Slavey was a back drop not the primary purpose of the story .

I just rented this movie and watched it for the first time. What a golden age Hollywood epic. The performances were outstanding by the entire ensemble. I can see why it was nominated and won so many awards. It's definately a classic that I think should be seen by many. Although it was a troubling time in America, I think this film helps educate us on some issues that were going on. I think people learning and starting a conversation is how we all can grow and move forward. Incredible film <3
