Description

Series two sees Prime Minister Jim Hacker still muddling through under the guidance of his Machiavellian mentor, Sir Humphrey Appleby. When Jim decides to implement a new plan to reduce unemployment in the North, Sir Humphrey decides that desperate cases call for desperate measures. Meanwhile, if the Prime Minister gives false information to Parliament, should the Cabinet Secretary support him, or should he tell all? As Sir Humphrey ponders the ethics, he finds that he too has something to hide. A classic satirical comedy starring Paul Eddington and Nigel Hawthorne.

This is one of the most enjoyable political comedies you'll come across on iTunes. The themes of red tape and political opportunism meet here in a classic setting with brilliant acting throughout. While the comedy itself is obviously British and set in the 1980s, the stories and controversies are time-less. It's a shame more seasons weren't filmed.
