The characters in this "sequel" are much more sympathetic than their original incarnations. Also I love that Funimation cast the same actors in the leads for this show. The performances by Chris Bevins and Brina Palencia are terrific. J. Michael Tatum is fantastic as the malevolent Mykage. (In fact I think most of the cast from the 1st Aquarion return). The negatives: The idea of people joining together as robot components and sexualizing them... is well awkward and funny to the point of hilarious. I think this show would be better suited for older teens (15 and up). I loved the subtitled version, but the voice actors from Funimation surpass the original. The story gets better in the second part. Please bring it out soon. :)

This anime is amazing and way better the the original. It really goes in depth about the story and the AQUARION universe.
