Lake LA is a powerful story that invites the viewer into a familiar, yet distant world. With the California desert playing almost its own character in the film, you get a rare glimpse of life on the fringe. The lead actress, a young girl, will make you believe that the visions she sees are real.

Such a lovely, human experience watching this man and this little girl navigate their world. Their loneliness and humanity felt so real, I was rooting for them both but also able to get lost in the beautiful sights and sounds.
