I don´t know, what critics expect from good action movies, but I enjyed watching "American Renegades" a lot. It has humor, camaraderie, action and a good story. The casting is great and the chemistry between the actors must have been great, since it´s fun to watch their ensemble performance. The plot contains a few surprises and mysteries and the production and cinematography is equal to other block busters; the underwater sequences are spectacular.

It's a good movie. Short theme/story. But we have all heard stories like this; about the Nazis. But it is entertaining, has a just enough action and turns you don't see coming; to keep you watching. But it's not worth buying.

Anything by Luc Besson and Europacorp is great stuff in my opinion. I have wanted to see this movie for going on 2 years now, and I saw it was FINALLY available for rent. I don't think Amazon even has it available yet. I do wish they had stayed with the original name Renegades, but minor quibble. I don't think the movie would have been nearly as good without JK Simmons, especially since you have no idea who anyone else in the movie is. No regrets, good fun movie.
