Description

Timothy Mahoney, the award-winning investigative filmmaker of Patterns of Evidence: The Exodus sets off to make his next film investigating the miraculous journey of the Israelites out of Egypt under the leadership of Moses. He wonders, "Did Moses actually write an eyewitness account of the Exodus journey?" The Bible says yes! But mainstream scholars say no! Little does Mahoney realize that the investigation will lead to the discovery of the world’s first alphabet and its controversial connection to the writing of the first books of the Bible.

No this movie does not prove the existence of God. It does refute the sceptics who say Moses could not have written the Pentateuch. The Bible itself is it’s own evidence and it’s proof is the untold millions of lives it has changed. People who say it is just a book of stories have probably never read it. There is a reason it is called the greatest story ever told. Exactly what you would expect from God Himself.

The bible haters will always stick to anything that disproves the bible. You don't have to believe in God to see the validity in this investigation, its just good work no matter what. People betray their own hatred when they try so desperately hard to dismiss the bible. Great work.

Bogus, waste of investment and film. regardless, if there was a moses or not. whether he or she wrote the exodus or not. is of no validation for the existence of a supernatural entity defined as god. the last tidbit shout out that the creation of an alphabet is potential proof of a “God” to try to validate The Mose Authenticity, is pathetic. The Bible, is a book. Written by men, with an agenda. Ancient day media.

Timothy Mahoney has done it again! I love how he spends the majority of this film exploring the possibility that modern scholars may have misrepresented or at least misinterpreted certain evidences clearly available to them. He’s very respectful to them at every turn, yet boldly explores these ‘patterns of evidences’ at each and every turn. Yet at the end of each documentary, he doesn’t lean on these patterns! He always goes back to God’s provisions and spends the last part of his movie saying that ‘And hey, maybe God provided the alphabet.’ Very well done Timothy!! And, thank you for your hard work!

Well-researched, aesthetically pleasing, great animations, great reenactments, truthful, honest, nuanced, clear, thorough, and God-honoring. Definitively watch this film. John 5:46-47 makes it clear that this topic is essential to the Christian faith.

Tim Mahoney has done it again! Not only is this movie a fascinating theological study, it's a study on the origins of alphabets and written language. It's every bit as brilliant and engaging as Patterns of Evidence: Exodus.

Over the last 10 years I have learnt that huge amounts of evidence exist supporting Bible writings. However, this film focuses on a single question: Did Moses actually write the first five books of the Bible. A common history for cultures around the world traces right back to Moses. But his writings were so impactful, so core to history that modern doubts and ultimately rejection have undermined many people beliefs. So, did Moses write the Pentateuch? Did he have the alphabet? Did the alphabet even exist? Surely the Phonecians invented it. Or does the evidence point to a different very logical conclusion. This is an honest, logical, well put together examination of one man's search for the truth, and in doing so, revealing numerous scholars DO believe that Moses wrote the Torah and for good reason.
