Based on the true story of Aimee Dubucq De Rivery, beautiful high spirited Aimee (Amber O'Shea) is sold into white slavery and loses her innocence to the most powerful man in the east- the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. The aging sultan (F. Murray Abraham) falls hopelessly in love with this opinionated French schoolgirl who is horrified by the cruelty of the Turkish society. After she bears his son, the Sultan is killed during a revolt, leaving the empire in turmoil.
