    A movie that all fossil fuel companies need to see.. something like this is probably coming to their doorsteps one day soon. No one can condone violence but this movie explains how you get there from here. The plot is kind of confused and slow and the actors should have been more carefully chosen (they are not very likable).

    Saw in Previews before it was in limited theaters. Love that it's finally on demand & premium channels for more to see Ellen Page is awesome & her voice OMG no wonder she loves it in this movie. Alexander Skarsgard & Brit Marling round this movie out. Filled with some suspense makes you think and gets your blood pumping for the next jam. Totally possible in today's world where you can see this happening. Must see don't miss it Patricia Clarkson is also awesome. Too many movies make it easy to not think but not this one if you like to think you will love The East. Don't let it go south before you see it......Spy on Us we'll Spy on you.... Oh that's NOT the East that's THE GOVERNMENT spying on us........,Great movie I can watch over and over & do.... are you ready for the next Jam???????

    I think that this was the best screenplay from Brit Marling and it was so well directed and the acting, photography, editing, everything was on point. Wasn't my favorite film of 2013 but was definitely on my top 10.

    The East is not even worth one star. It is complete lunatic anarcho-enviromentalist anti intellectual garbage. ELF (Earth Liberation Front) goes to Hollywood! Don't waste a minute of your time or money!
