    The acting is good- Grade B. The plot is predictable but keeps one's attention- Grade B. The sets and cinematography are excellent- Grade A. Overall worth buying- B+. The characters have one obvious shortcoming: no peripheral vision! They get "snuck up on" in wide open spaces! Even the elves don't see or hear anything- Legolas would be ashamed! Seriously though, this is a fun show.

    Why do they keep making these shows with the bad writing? Send a bunch of untrained, inexperienced kids on a quest? Why da hell does everyone conveniently stand with their back to the opened door and/or danger?!

    Maybe Kanye West is right and there is a descrimination against straight people in TV. I see no other reason that this weak, plotless series got second season, but political correctness.

    watched all of season 1 ...the writing is really pretty bad... on the run and might be discovered by baddies.. but yeah.. lets take a break here and have sex... seriously???? It's like an adolesent boy and girl got together and wrote the series... mostly hormone driven tripe.. not a bad story if you can keep from upchucking long enough to see past that fact.. On the whole , not disapppointed I bought the season.. but Buyer beware.. it realy is as bad and contrived as it looks..

    This show is awesome and did a good job of explaining the story from the books. Cannot wait for season 2, but that comes out on Spike TV instead of MTV. The previews look as good as the first season.

    Pass unless its free or very cheap. I boutght the season but could only watch a few episodes. Cinimatopographically it's good, but it lacks the quality and depth it deserves. Feels like it's writen at 10 year olds.
