It’s not about showing that just to have it in there, it’s about the trauma that the hosts experience over & over at the hands of the most dangerous life form on the planet, man...this series illustrates this perfectly & touches on interesting theories in behavior such as cognitive dissonance & the origins of consciousness in the breakdown of the bicameral mind, give it a good watch & pay attention to the dialogue, they put a lot into this series to not have it just written off as profanity/nudity...

Greatest acting, writing and SFX of 2016.

I wish the debt to the 1973 film was acknowledged more readily. It irks me when this appraised as edgy and original for the very reason that the original concept is over four decades old. What is edgy are the visuals, but frankly the writing gets tedious after a while. Like Lost, I stopped watching this after a few episodes. I really don't see the point of hoping to find some exciting revelation in a fully self-referential universe, ultimately created to generate money and to keep self-perpetuating itself. Sure, some moral issues are raised, acting is quite decent throughout, but I am over the artificial cliffhanger gimmick. Well-crafted, into the shape of glossy boredom.

This show is so slow, nothin happens, there is no clear plot... Spent the entire first seasons waiting for something to start, for an intrigue to begin, for anythign really!

How did anyone make it past the first 10 minuets of this? Unbelievably horrible.

This was a jaw dropping brain draining awesome HBO series! Although they’re also somewhat morons for not giving Evan Rachael Wood equal pay! Cause she is the Lynch Pin Of Westworld! Yippee Ki yay!

Truly the most remarkable, well-directed and well-writen Sci-Fi show!

Up there with The Wire, Breaking Bad, BCS, BSG, GOT, and The Sopranos. This amazing, and timely show is incredibly complex and requires the viewer's absolute and undivided attention. Silence you phone, put down your PadPod, etc., and watch it on a big screen. Watch, listen; pay attention. There's a lot going on. A lot of subtext that will be missed if you are impatient or easily distracted. Not a show for children, chronophobes, gymnophobes, puritans, nor the nervous. I hope season two is as great. A high mark has been set.
