It's just amazing to watch each episode, unlike any other type documentary I've seen. Rich colors textures, sounds and conversations that really dive into each destination. When Chef Bourdain is in Antártica you really feel the temperature biting your nose. Oman was breathtaking - gorgeous filming -amazing food scenes. There has not been a single disappointment in this latest season. Each episode explores a hitherto unknown locale in a manner that is at once more internal, personal and revealing, and less of the snarky, cynical observer that AB can be at times. These episodes demand that you pay attention to nuances and see the differences in cultures for what they truly are. If you are new to the series and want to know what all the fuss is about, ANY of the six episodes so far will show you why, even after all this time, AB remains peerless as a witness to an aspect of travel that eludes most tourists: seeing the place and people visited for who/what they are, not what we think they might be.
