Galaxy Being and The Sixth Finger - fantastic scifi

Galaxy Being (the pilot episode of the original Outer Limits) and The Sixth Finger are among the best scifi shorts ever made. Too good to be called television, these are wonderful short films than belong in every vintage scifi collection.

I have to say this show is terrible. I can't take it seriously or even bear to watch it anymore. There are a couple good episodes but most are lame.

For younger people you must forget the B&W and the often times crude and primative FX. This is classic Sci-Fi with often excellent acting and stories

This series was one of the best science fiction shows to ever air on television. In fact, it's impact can be found even today. If you are a fan of LOST, consider this: the main monster on the show has been revvealed to be a creature made of "smoke", "lightning", and roars. Now download "The Man with the Power", starring Donald Pleasance. You will see that his character generates that SAME creature simply from his mind. 40 years later and the connection is unmistakeable.

In controlling the TV, the people from The Outer Limits gave us some stellar performances. A new story every week, including a completely new cast and new sets ( although the sets were often minimalistic and recycled). Without a doubt one of the best things that was on TV ever. Witness Robert Culp discover that ... well, that would be telling. Still, great performances, even in this age of high technology.
