2 great things came out of the 60’s. The moon landing and Star Trek. Star Trek sent us to space, the final frontier. To explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations. Too boldly go where no man has gone before! FOR WE ARE THE VOYAGERS OF THE STARSHIP ENTERPRISE!

The first episode "The cage" is missing. Why is Netflix capable to offer all Star Trek episodes but not ITunes?
Also, why doesn't ITunes over Star Trek The animated series like Netflix? Really annoying when you want to complete your collection.
What an original series

I believe that The Star Trek Series for TV was and is the greatest ever. I absolutely love all of the Star Trek Movies as well. I don't think there will ever be an original series such as Star Trek, it is the best. I don't kinow how many times I have watched these episodes over and over again.
Untouched and original ?

These are not the "untouched and original" versions of Star Trek that I remember from years ago. I just downloaded a copy of "Where no man has gone before" for $2 and its actually the remastered version. If I want remastered then thats what I'll purchase, but don't tell me its "untouched" when it isn't. Sorry, but I simply don't like the remastered episodes. I'm used to the original versions and thats what I want.

I bought this version of TOS because I didn't want the added CGI effects. They are not that good anyway, and half of the charm of the old show is the old effects. Somehow, this episode (Where No Man Has Gone Before) ended up being the remastered version with a shiny new plasticy CGI Enterprise bipping and bopping undramatically across my screen. So far, it's the only mismatched episode I've downloaded in this season, but I'm leary of more when they finish downloading.
This is not to say don't buy it, but be aware that iTunes and Apple have messed up this one.

iTunes claims these are the "untouched, original versions," but that is not true. These are the new versions with effects replaced by cartoon-like CGI animation.

The first season is a hit in my book.Aside from all the evolutionary refrences,it's great!One of the best episodes in my opinion is this side of paradise,you should check it out!
