Solitary, Season 2

awesome show i love val so much and this is a show for people who like to see pain

This is one of the best reality shows on FOX Reality! At the end, we hear about a Solitary 3.0. If this is true, then I want them to hurry up with it already!

You can bet that V3.0 will be incredible! This show is wonderfully entertaining and the creators are masters of their work.

In my mind, although money seems to be the main attractant for the competitors, it truly feels through various remarks and confessions that it is more a battle against oneself, using the brutality and the fatigue of various challenges to see how tough one truly is, going beyond physical, brute strength. Although the financial contributions to sets and what not, seem somewhat poor, this is not the real point of the game, the real reason to watch. this is a fascinating psychological experiment, that otherwise probably would not occur, testing a participant in a study would be unethical! Watching this show is really about observing the limits and psycholigical methods to overcome physical and emotional distress to win a competition that is a battle against oneself. The Val character is a creation that could be seen as either cruel or a character using tough love to push these individuals. Many times in the show, if a contestant is asked questions and they are very superficial or non-reflective, Val many times echoed the sentiments I was thinking, as far as using these challenges for self-reflection. The thought that thru these battles, we erupt from it, changed in some way for the better. Val, the computer, became a conscience of sorts for these people, and steered them to self-realization, which was my favorite part of the show. The money almost seems obscene when you realize how built up the $50,000 is as a foci of the show, as we are watching people do it more for their own pride and integrity, rather than lining their pockets. The type of self torture does have a price tag, I wouldn't expect anyone to actually do this without compensation. However, after the final treatment, one may realize how valuble such knowledge of one's limitations may be in self improvement and actualization.

This show is so amazing!! I just started watching it and i got hooked! I just flipped the channel and it said Solitary and I'm like o my god this has got to be a good show. So i watched it and it is about real people like you and me doing real stuff to see how far you can go. i really thought it was going to be dumb but i saw and i loved it. At some parts it is so hilarious what people do when they are in one room and its only them and its pretty funny what they do to entertain themselves. LOVE IT

Exploiting pepoles's misery is fun!

this was a really fun show...... the last episode ws insane i want to try that but wat ws the best part was at the end when he had to go on to the solitary 3.0 hahahaha all he wanted to do was walk away with his money and go home but burn hope he dosn't just bail out

That masochist chick is hot!

If this is as good as season 1 then bring it on! Loved the show - huge mind game and very interesting to see how people react when put in various situations.

This season was a bit better than the first season. I don't get into reality TV very much, but I thoroughly enjoyed this season. It was very entertaining.
