    Since I saw this show first on DVD, it didn't occur to me that the music might be changed on the digital purchase. However, that's exactly what's happened. And since it only seems to be the case with the iTunes purchase, I can only think Apple was too cheap to pay whatever costs were associated with including the classic rock in the show. I'm mainly writing this review so people know the music has not been crrrected over the past 14 years. It's still the same crappy version of an otherwise excellent show, and those responsible for refusing to set this right should really be ashamed of themselves.

    For a show as old as Supernatural it is easy to forget the original form of the show or how it got its footing and became the show it is today. I really believe the strength of the show lies in its opening season. From the very beginning it was well done and had a firm idea of what it was, if not necessarily where it wanted to go. Ackles is an obvious standout, and while Padalecki is somewhat overlooked he is the perfect model for ghe hero’s journey with a darker twist. The writing while predictable is very enjoyable and highly creative. It is a very fun episodic series-based season to watch.

    Seasons 1-5 were the best and coherent season that Supernatural had. After that it falls apart (though season 9 and 10 were pretty good).

    This is the best season of Supernatural out there, which is not very surprising. Almost every original in any franchise is the best. But don’t get me wrong! The other seasons are very good, too, but the first season is the one with the most episodes that I come back to watch again. My favorites are “Pilot”, “Wendigo”, “Dead In the Water”, “Phantom Traveler”, “Bloody Mary”, “Skin”, “Hook Man”, “Home”, “Scarecrow”, “Faith”, “Nightmare”, “Hell House”, and “Devil’s Trap”. I’ve watched many seasons of Supernatural... all very good, but not as good as this one.

    1-5 are the best season I feel like these actually have meaning behind it, like they have a actual plot idk about 6-13 but I love 1-5 can’t wait to watch the rest

    This was the season that got me hooked on the supernatural lore. I really like the dark and gritty tone in this season, then as the show went on they decided to go for a lighter tone and add more humor. I don’t have a problem with it but I still prefer the dark atmosphere from the first season of the show, which is why it’s my favorite season.

    I just started this series, and I am hooked. It is so good. A bit scary, but the relationship between Sam and Dean is what has me hooked.
