When Ryan Atwood (Ben McKenzie) was taken in from the streets by then public defender Sandy Cohen (Peter Gallagher) and his wife, Kirsten (Kelly Rowan), they had no idea how Ryan's arrival would change their lives. Their "adorkable" son, Seth (Adam Brody), found a friend and brother in Ryan to share his quirky way of looking at the world — and the trials and tribulations of winning the heart of Summer Roberts (Rachel Bilson), Seth's lifelong crush. Ryan, himself, struggles with his tumultuous romance with the beautiful girl next door, Marissa Cooper (Mischa Barton). From Josh Schwartz (Gossip Girl, Chuck) and McG (Charlie's Angels films), The O.C. was one of the highest-rated dramas on television. Season two features recurring guest stars Olivia Wilde as Alex; Logan Marshall-Greene as Ryan's brother, Trey; and Billy Campbell as Carter, the new editor of Newport Living.
