I am posting to let you know that as of 5/15/21, the formerly VHS quality picture has been upgraded to HD. It is BEAUTIFUL!

The quintessential Pride & Prejudice. There’s so much to love in this one; where do I start? Well, first and foremost, everyone is perfectly cast and I will die on this hill. Of course the real standout is Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy. Then there’s the script. Everything and everybody is written so well. And the scenery excels too. The costumes are just so accurate. And then there’s the scene. THAT scene. If you’ve seen it you know what I’m talking about. If you haven’t, I won’t spoil, but let’s just say it’s perfection in every way possible. Viewing it should be mandatory for every Pride & Prejudice fan.

I saw the 2005 movie and wound up reading the book because of it. I was lucky to have done it in that sequence because watching this version made me understand all the winge-ing the 2005 movie gets (haha). I highly recommend this mini series - this Lizzie is A+ (I still like the 2005 movie but it’s not as satisfying)

This is a fantastic portrayal of Jane Austen’s beautiful novel. I sincerely cannot praise it enough. I would give it five thumbs up if I could, but alas, I shall have to make do with the two God has given me. 👍🏼👍🏼
