First season was great and got hooked but season 2 didn't meet my expectations. Crossing my fingers if they can stick the landing with season 3.

Finally a well produced program that gives a realistic look at what the world may look like if we ever had a major virus outbreak. Michael Bay produces this top notch show that’s well cast, well acted and well written. After 2 seasons, I’m still begging for more. Keep’em coming!

I have never written a review, and this one will be short. Quite simply if you are a patriotic American, love and respect the men and women of the United States Military Services, and like outstanding drama with an unbelievably great cast - then The Last Ship is THE BEST THERE IS!
  • Awful

Awful, wooden acting, unbelievable story, and Adam Baldwin is particularly bad. Too bad, cuz it had potential.
  • Excellent Summer Filler

The show has a good amount of action, plot, and the production is fantastic for a summer show of ten episodes. I make sure to watch it easy week. The characters are also well cast.

After the first season ended and the Russians were done i wondered where they'd go from there. They did a brilliant job bringing in the cult and taking it to a whole new level of awesome. Most of the episodes have been really intense! I'll be on the edge of my seat tonight making sure my beloved Tex is still alive by seasons end and hopefully Rachel will do something to show she likes him!!!
  • Great Show with One Inexplicable Oversight

One of the many things I like about this show is it’s authenticity. Having said this, the second season supposed takes place offshore of New Orleans. But as a native of that city, I can assure you there are no mountains, which The Last Ship features an abundance of. Weird that they didn’t catch that. Otherwise, totally believable, fast-paced, well scripted and superbly acted.
  • RAISING THE BAR HIGH! SCIENCE-FICTION EXCELLENCE!

This show has proved to be one of the finest, more believable science-fiction dramas on record. Superb acting, a great use of a television budget for special effects used sparingly, and for some of the most credible scripts I’ve seen in years. This show has maintained its integrity, and the producers have not cow towed to using sex or violence in any capacity other than story support. I cannot praise this production enough. It deserves the support of anyone who loves solid (non fantasy) science-fiction. I work around the military, and as one critical review mentioned (speaking of some character dialogs) the military crews don’t talk like that. Well, this is television (go re-tie your boots…or something!). One has to make concessions on the dialog so that “Civilians" can understand and enjoy the character’s dialogs. Cut the producers and screen writers some artistic slack! Much of the Captain’s decision are right out of the Navy’s handbook, and unlike MSOT sci-fi movies this one slaps of reality. It is hard to make the strict protocols of military life interesting. I think they’re doing a bang-up job! Bravo! Well done! Keep up this fine production. Perhaps other networks can learn to produce quality television by watching what dedicated artists and a talented crew can accomplish without having to lowering moral and ethical standards and muckraking. You people are setting the bar high! You have our support and gratitude. : )
  • Is this a joke?

I feel bad for the people involved in this show. Judging by their effort they are well aware of how bad this show is. There should be positive reviews by paid reviews or people with a financial stake in the show.
